Recently, Fire resistant felt aerogel insulation blanket compounded by high-tech is the most advanced thermal insulation material. Aerogel insulation blanket is flexible and environmental, which can inhibit the radiation and easy of application. It has low heat conductivity and the range of heat insulation is between -196℃ and 650℃, so it is the most ideal heat insulation material in the areas of industrial pipeline, storage tank, furnace stack and equipment, and also it is one of the most advanced heat insulation material.

Using special nanotechnology, It combines a silica aerogel with reinforcing fibers to deliver very low thermal conductivity, low density and good flexibility in an environmentally safe product. It provides excellent properties of waterproof, sound absorption and shock absorption. It is an alternative to the common, environment unfriendly, inferior insulation products, such as PU, asbestos insulation felt, silicate fibers, etc.

Heat transfer in solids: aerogel (amorphous silica) particles, the main component of aerogel felt, are smaller in molecular diameter than cigarette smoke (about 10nm), and thus have a very small sectional area through which the particles can pass heat, and thus have very low heat transfer compared with ordinary thermal insulation materials.
Thermal convection of gas molecules: due to its 90% porosity and extremely small pore volume, only a little heat transfer caused by the collision of gas molecules can occur in such ultra-thin empty holes. The heat transfer by convection is smaller than that of ordinary adiabatic materials and larger than that of nano-plates, so the adiabatic performance is only second to that of nano-plates.
Radiation: the aerogel blanket material is formulated with sunshade, which can effectively prevent infrared ray penetration and minimize radiation heat transfer.
